The original Carbonara!

Until recently i thought Carbonara is a pasta with white sauce with cream and i was never a big fan of it because of the cream, i thought it was too heavy. Well the last year i found out from my husband who is half italian that the original Carbonara does not have cream inside and i was very surpsised. So we cooked it and i loved it!

So this is how we do it!

You will need:

Long pasta number 5
Salt, pepper,
Parmesan cheese
Pancetta
1 egg yolk per person

Boil the pasta in salted water. 100g pasta per person should be enough.

While the pasta is boiling, cut the pancetta in small pieces, take a frying pan add some olive oil and fry the pancetta. Add some water from the pot, some parmesan, salt, pepper and stir until the parmesan has melted.

When the pasta is cooked drain it and put it in the pan, stir well and serve it.

In each plate you will put the egg yolk as you see it in the picture and then each person will add it to the pasta and stir it.

Bon appetit!
